Whether you are new to the area or just finding our online presence, welcome! Here you will find general information about all things Springdale.
Located in Cockeysville, Maryland, Springdale is one of the largest residential communities in Baltimore County and includes 689 individual family homes with 34 acres of open space scattered throughout. The S.L. Hammerman Organization began development of our community in 1965 on land roughly bordered by Pot Spring Road, Bosley Road, and the Loch Raven watershed.
Our neighborhood is served by Warren Elementary School, Cockeysville Middle School, and Dulaney High School, all of which are located within two miles of Springdale. All residents benefit from the 34 acres of open space, which is maintained by the Springdale Homes Association, of which every resident is an automatic member. Our neighborhood also enjoys the availability of membership to the Springdale Swim Club, our community pool and tennis courts.
If you are a new resident, you should know that there are plenty of ways to meet your neighbors. The Springdale Swim Club offers fun in the sun with swimming, tennis and basketball all within walking distance. You can visit their website at www.springdaleswimclub.com for more information on memberships.
Of course, the best way to get to know people is to get involved in one of our three community organization boards: the Springdale Homes Association, the Springdale Community Association, and the Springdale Swim Club. Information for all three groups can be found on our home page.
Even longtime residents get confused by which association is responsible for their area of concern, see the FAQ page for an explanation of the difference.
And again, welcome to Springdale!
